UNIDO in partnership with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and the GN-SEC centres is organising the side event "Strengthening the means of implementation for the Agenda 2030 – Promoting south-south and triangular climate cooperation through the Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centers (GN-SEC)”, scheduled to take place on 02 November 2023, between 14:00 to 15:00 at the Rittersaal of the Hofburg Palace.

The side event is being organised by Government of São Tomé and Príncipe, the Small Island Sustainable Energy and Climate Resilience Organisation (SIDS DOCK), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Global OTEC under the umbrella of the Global Ocean Energy Alliance (GLOE), launched on the margins of the United Nations Ocean Conference in 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal.

In May 2023, Mr. Jean-Pierre Ndoutoum was appointed as the Head of the Start-Up Unit of the new Central African Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CEREEAC) by the President of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS). During the next months, he will take leadership in the full operationalisation of the centre.
