International Network of Solar Technology and Application Resource Centres (STAR C) Project.

The Structuring of an International Network of Solar Technology Application Resource Centre, STAR C project works towards enhancing capacity for deployment of solar energy applications research, development, standardization and testing in solar energy to contribute to the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions through increased access to modern, reliable and affordable energy. The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the International Solar Alliance are initiating the project with funding from the Government of France.

Energy Access and Green Transition in Urban and Rural Africa( ENERGICA) Project

EACREEE in partnership with the 11 European and 17 African partners is reinforcing the ENERGy Access and Green Transition collaboratively demonstrated in the Urban and Rural Africa project. Within the East African Community, ENERGICA is focusing on the area of electric mobility aimed at demonstrating the efficient implementation of renewable energy technologies to match the needs of the local context.

Building High-Level Support and National Capacities to enhance Climate and Ozone Protection through Cooling Efficiency

In 2010, the UN Environment (formerly UNEP) launched a global initiative to help developing and emerging markets quickly and comprehensively transition to energy-efficient lighting, room air conditioners, household refrigerators, electric motors and transformers.
