Mr. Fred Ishugah (Kenya) joined EACREEE on November 1, 2017 as a Sustainable Energy Expert. Prior to joining EACREEE, Mr Ishugah was working as a lecturer at department of Energy Engineering at Kenyatta University.
Mr Ishugah brings in great expertise and experience in Renewable Energy exploration and exploitation, energy efficiency and energy management. He has been involved in different energy projects through his career including working, working as an Assistant Project Manager in Solar Decathlon-China on a Shanghai Jiao Tong University team and working as a Lead Member in conducting a survey on Renewable Energy cooperation between China and Africa. He also worked as a project manager in Community Based Alternative Energy Project with Terra Nuova East Africa in Collaboration with AMREF and European Union in Kenya. In addition, he has consulted with a number of companies on renewable energy projects on environmental and social impact assessments, Pre-feasibility and full-feasibility studies, and general and investment grade energy audits.
Mr Ishugah holds a Master of Science degree in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Energy Engineering from Kenyatta University (Kenya). In addition, he holds the following Professional Certifications or Licenses; Certified Energy Manager (CEM) by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), T3 Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Technician License by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of Kenya, Solar Water Heating Technician License by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of Kenya and Associate Expert License by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) of Kenya. In addition, he is a member of the following bodies; the Environmental Institute of Kenya (EIK), the Institution of Engineering Technologists and Technicians (IET), the Association of Energy Professionals Eastern Africa (AEPEA), Kenya Renewable Energy Association (KEREA) and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
